SUMMER FILM CAMP
This isn’t just about being on camera—it’s about learning how it all comes together. Campers will join a small team to brainstorm, write, rehearse, and act in an original short film, working side-by-side with real industry professionals who guide them through every step of the creative process.
They’ll gain confidence, collaborate with peers, and walk away with new skills, great memories, and a finished film they helped bring to life.

World-class dancer, choreographer, and creative with over 30 years of experience both in front of and behind the camera. He’s appeared in Step Up 3D, Dancing with the Stars, toured with Justin Bieber and Janet Jackson, and worked with visionary directors like Jon M. Chu (Wicked, Crazy Rich Asians)—just to name a few. Jaime brings unmatched passion and insight to every project.

The powerhouse mom/coach behind actor Gavin Warren (First Man, Night Swim, Fear the Walking Dead, The Unbreakable Boy—just to name a few). Nicole is known for helping young performers build confidence, develop on-camera skills, and understand how the industry really works.

Producer/Director/Writer
Erika is an award-winning producer, director, and writer based in Houston. She creates original films, music videos, and stage productions with a passion for empowering young performers. Known for her hands-on approach, Erika leads kids through the full filmmaking process—from script to screen—while also collaborating with industry professionals on acclaimed projects like The Challenger Disaster.

MONDAY | 10am-2pm
Creativity & Casting Prep
With enrollment limited to just 10 students, each camper will have a meaningful role in developing the script. We'll collaborate on story elements—characters, settings, props, and dialogue—then work together to write a short film. Campers will also learn how to slate and audition like a pro—getting camera-ready for tomorrow’s tryouts.
Homework: Take your script home and start preparing your audition using the new skills you learned today!

TUESDAY | 10am-2pm
Audition & Rehearsal
Campers will film their audition slates and performance scenes, receiving personalized feedback and an opportunity for retakes. We'll review playbacks to encourage self-evaluation and improvement. Once casting decisions are announced, we’ll conduct a table read, then begin blocking and initial scene rehearsals.
Homework: Memorize your lines and gather any necessary costume pieces and props.

Wed & Thurs | 10am-2pm
Filming & Special Guest Visit
Lights, camera, action—it’s movie time! Campers step into the spotlight as we film our original short film. We’ll also welcome special guest Gavin Warren (The Unbreakable Boy, Night Swim, Fear the Walking Dead, First Man) who will offer professional insights, performance tips, and support during filming.
Homework: Celebrate—you just made a movie! Reflect on your hard work and invite friends and family to attend your red carpet premiere.

Friday | 11am
Red Carpet Premiere
The moment we’ve all been waiting for—it's premiere time! Join us at 11:00 AM for the screening of our short film. Friends and family are invited to walk the red carpet with us. Afterward, we’ll reflect on all the amazing skills we’ve learned this week, hand out personalized awards, and, of course, watch our finished film!
Homework: Keep an eye out for your professionally edited film and a behind-the-scenes highlight reel that captures all the fun!
